As usual, the weather forecast kept flip flopping from good to bad all week. After a call with the track owner we decided to commit to the race and push on. Once all setup and ready to start racing, the clouds showed up and it rained for about 10 minutes. We were all in good spirits as it was announced that this was the “new” track watering system that was ordered a week before. Luckily the rained was minimal and did just that, water the track perfectly. After the short delay we were good to race! We were off and running for Round 2 of the RC Pro Atlantic Division series. The turnout for the race was excellent and included the usual suspects from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Quebec. The weather held strong but the new watering system showed up again just before the mains. I was perfect. Qualifying had been fast and competitive as usual which set things up for some great racing.
