Over 130 racers made their way to Calgary this past weekend to kick off the 2009 Alberta Division of RC Pro Canada. Practice was very short on friday due to the rain, but the racing on saturday was very tight none the less.

After 3 rounds of qualifying, our TQ's were Ty Tessman in both Expert Buggy and Truggy, Jason Poirier in Extreme Truck, Kyle Dickson in Intermediate Truggy, and Phil Smiley in Intermediate Buggy.

Sunday had lots of great racing and a lot of close battles on the track, and at teh end of the day this is how the races finished.

Extreme Truck: 1st place jason Poirier, 2nd place Jeremy Neno, and 3rd place Wes Simpson

Int Buggy: 1st place Mark Deasty, 2nd place Phil Smiley, 3rd place Colin Regular

Int Truggy: 1st place Lawrence Barney, 2nd place Kyle Dickson, 3rd place Ken Santarossa

Ex Buggy: 1st place Ty Tessman, 2nd place Peter Tozser, 3rd place Navaz Walji

Ex Truggy: 1st Ty Tessman, 2nd Navaz Walji, 3rd Dustin Fedosa

A big thanks goes out to all the racers for making this such a great weekend. A special thanks goes out to Mike Evans for running a great race, and the RCGEARS club for a great venue. Another big thanks goes out to Ken Santarossa and my wife Melanie for taking care of the unthankful task of Tech Inspections. See you all at the next round in Red Deer!!
